The event name Transitalia Marathon is a bit misleading. No running and no competition. Just very scenic off road rides across Italy from coast to coast on roads and tracks that are partially restricted. In 2023, the route went from Rimini on the East coast of Italy via Città di Castello and Chianciano Terme to Follonica Terme on the West coast and then back to Rimini. Lots of dust, espressi and wine (in the evening), what more could you ask for…? blog

Took some time off to go on a longer trip. I’ve been to England a few times, but I’ve always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland on the motorcycle. Sensational. Okay, typical weather there, but that’s just part of the experience. I traveled via northern Germany, and in the end, I also went via Normandy and Brittany through France. Longest ride without being home in between. Significantly better than working.

Ride with Marcus and Sebastian

Kind of our standard round trip through Italy at the border to France, but for the first time with off-road sections. Starting on some easy flat gravel road sections of TET Italy in the Po Valley, Colle delle Finestre and Colle dell’Assietta and also to the Alta Via del Sale. Not the toughest tracks to ride, but lots of sweat not only because of the very hot weather.
